APRA members have submitted themselves to a set of rules and principles
To comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to business activities, including data security laws such as GDPR.
To always clearly identify ourselves to parties we contact.
To not engage in misleading marketing activities, such as unsolicited telemarketing.
To ensure the transparent display of service prices.
To produce a clear, signed power of attorney or notice of assignment to provide authorization when required.
To maintain confidentiality regarding all customer and airline information.
To avoid actions that could harm the reputation of companies providing access to justice for air passengers.
To possess appropriate professional qualifications or industry-relevant knowledge in areas like debt collection, financial services, or legal matters.
To be operated by individuals who have clear credit histories and no criminal convictions.
To ensure all staff are properly trained and informed about good practice.
To be appropriately resourced to carry out business activities and deliver adequate service levels to customers.
To operate in a legal form, where required by national law, that permits the offering of debt collection services to third parties.
To possess professional liability insurance to the extent required by the laws of the country where they operate.
To not use oppressive or intrusive methods in our collection practices.
